Silicon carbide is also suitable for practicing BOF steel plant with a warming agent, also used for cast iron and ductile iron inoculant production of addictives.
Black silicon carbide is made of quartz sand, petroleum coke and high-quality silica, which is produced by high-temperature smelting in electric resistance furnace. Its hardness is between corundum and diamond, mechanical strength is higher than corundum, brittle and sharp.
