Due to changes in China's environmental protection policy, the supply of domestic bauxite is insufficient, and the dependence of imported bauxite is rising, especially from the bauxite mine in Guinea. In January 2019, China imported 4.26 million tons of bauxite from Guinea. The monthly import volume reached a new high.
