In December 2018, the total output of sintered magnesia and fused magnesia decreased by 55.83% year-on-year. Among them, the output of fused magnesia increased by 24.56% year-on-year, and the output of sintered magnesia decreased by 21.05%.
In December, the output of sintered magnesia and fused magnesia in China showed a different degree of decline. The output of sintered magnesia was 2,51 million tons, a decrease of 73.30% from the previous month and a decrease of 59.65% compared with the same period of last year. The output of fused magnesia was 45,000 tons, a decrease of 30.45% from the previous month and a decrease of 15.73% from the same period of last year.
From January to December, the cumulative output of sintered magnesia was 701,200 tons, down 73.30% year-on-year; the output of fused magnesia was 826,300 tons, up 24.56% year-on-year.
The more prominent feature of this year is that the output of fused magnesia is over-sintered with magnesia. This has a certain relationship with new environmental requirements and emission standards.
